Acute Effect of Noise(F-86 F) on the Gastric Acidtiy (Continued)

Abstract
The 10 Korean healthy young men were subjected for 30 min. to 80-110 phone of noise, which was produced through amplifying, by Hi-Fi amplifier, the taperecording sound of noise at F-86 F jet engine test.
Gastric acidity measurement was performed every 15 minutes for 105 min. The results of the investigation were revealed as follows;
1) Within 15 minutes after exposure to noise, gastric free acidity of the fasting condition rose to 340% of that of control and within 30 minutes, to 270%.
2) Following after ceasation of noise, the increased free acidity gradually decreaed.
3) Insertion of Levin tube itself stimulated secretion of gastric acid to rise to 250% of free acidity of the fasting content.
